Pastor Angel serves as Assistant Pastor with a heart devoted to nurturing and guiding families in their faith journey. Pastor Angel’s journey in ministry commenced in 2008 when she, alongside her family, became cherished members of the Hyde Wesleyan community. Initially engaged in the Children's Ministry, her passion for nurturing young hearts became evident early on.
The call to serve took Pastor Angel and her family on a new adventure when they helped plant Overflow Church in Altoona, PA, where Pastor Angel served as the Children's Director. After a year, Pastor Angel felt a strong pull back to Hyde Wesleyan Church, where she sensed God's unmistakable call to pursue ordination in the Wesleyan Church. Through the FLAME program, she underwent the necessary training and was ordained in 2021, marking a significant milestone in her journey.
Transitioning from the role of Family Ministries Pastor to Assistant Pastor, Pastor Angel now holds key responsibilities, primarily focused on fostering strong bonds within families and youth. Leading a vibrant Wednesday evening Kid Blast program, supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, and spearheading numerous outreach initiatives aimed at fortifying connections with families both within and beyond the church community is her privilege.
Pastor Angel’s ministry ethos is grounded in the belief that each individual is unique and deserving of love and understanding. Shaped by her experiences with pastors, families, and children over the years, she is committed to fostering environments where all feel welcomed and valued.
Outside of ministry, you'll often find Pastor Angel exploring the great outdoors, whether hiking, camping, kayaking, or biking. She cherishes moments spent with her husband, Sam, whom she married in 2005, as well as her sons Kyle and Jack, and Kyle's fiancée Hannah, who bring endless laughter and joy into her life.
Pastor Angel is deeply grateful for the privilege of serving alongside the Hyde Wesleyan community and looks forward to continuing the journey of faith, love, and service together.
